Forensics Club

The Forensics Club is a parent facilitated club for students in 6th, 7th and 8th grades.  Students learn skills in public speaking and dramatic presentation of literary works.  Students travel to participate in MIFA (Michigan Interscholastic Forensics Association) spponsored tournaments in December and April.  There is a fee to participate to cover the costs of joining MIFA and registering for tournaments.

Recent news:  The HVCS team did a great job at the Fall 2007 tournament held December 15 in Birch Run Michigan.  Over 500 students from more than 30 teams from around the state participated.  8th graders RoseMary Dahl &Alina Morales, Emily Downing & Maria Ligeski and Anthony DeBacker & Jordan Solano-Reed were all trophy winners in the Duo catagory.  Seventh grader Michon Girardot was a trophy winner in the Prose catagory.  We are extremely proud of all our participating students.  Meetings are now underway to prepare for the Spring tournament on April 19.
