Parents

Parental Involvement
Huron Valley Catholic School readily acknowledges parents as "the first and foremost educators of their children." (John Paul II, Familiaris Consortio, Sect. 36) We believe a close partnership with parents is a key ingredient to the foundation for the success of our students.

In recognizing this critical role of parents, the school strives for well-ordered collaboration between its staff and the parents. We depend on parental participation in the classroom, school functions, field trips, and extra curricular activities. There are so many ways to be involved.

School Board
A parent-run School Board is elected by Huron Valley School Parents. Board members serve a three-year term, six years maximum. The School Board is the governing body of the school and is responsible for school policy, tuition, and financial policies, discipline policy, building and grounds, and evaluation of the principal. Each member chairs or sits on at least one of the following committees: Educational Policy, Building and Grounds, Finance, Fund-raising, and Marketing.
